Q: When are we moving?
Our last Sunday at 3241 Lowell will be Oct 7. We will gather for brunch, communion and prayer at North High School on Oct 14, followed by a tour of the Holiday theater. Our regular worship services resume at North High School on Oct 21.
Q: Where are we moving?
From October 14 through the end of the year, we anticipate being in the North High School auditorium. This is our best option because it puts us right in the neighborhood we will be in once the Holiday Theater is ready for us to move into. See map to the right.
Q: Why are we moving?
The owners of this historic, 100-year-old worship space are working with developers to tear down and build new apartment buildings. We have known about these plans since we began rent- ing space here in the fall of 2009. We are sad to see this building go, but are also excited about our future at The Holiday Theater on 32rd and Clay. Until the Holiday is renovated and ready for us, we will set up temporary camp at North High School.
Q:What will it be like at North High School?
Our worship gatherings remain centered around communion, with music, teaching and prayer. Child care for kids ages 0-4 will be available. All elementary-aged kids and youth are invited to join our 50 minute worship gathering. The message each week will in- volve ways for the kids to interact and for families to learn together. Community Hour will happen each week at 9 am before worship.
Q: How can I help?
Join us at 3241 Lowell on Saturday, October 6 starting at 8 am to help pull the seats from the auditorium and bring them to the Holiday Theater to be used there! We will also use Oct 6 and 7 for any last minute packing and moving that hasn’t already happened.
