Highlands Church engages in the traditional Lectionary scriptures, joining many Christ-followers around the world on a journey of longing. In worship this Sunday, we experience the beginning of Advent through Mark 13:24-37, Isaiah 64:1-4, and Psalm 80. Together we implore, “Restore us Lord God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.” The mystery of the first week of Advent fills us with anticipation and yearning as together we move into the now and not-yet tension of the season.
